I created 3d model of a Boeing 737-MAX 8 featuring Southwest’s Heart livery. from a high-poly sculpt. I did the retopology, UV mapping, texturing and material creation. I used a variety of tools for this project including Cinema4D, Redshift, Blender, Photoshop, Illustrator and Procreate.

The UV mapping and retopology was handled by hand in Blender. In order to achieve a high level of detail I utilized UDIMs spreading the texture maps of the fuselage across multiple 4k textures.

In order to create crisp, high-quality assets of the livery, I used Illustrator. The brand assets were already native illustrator files, but they had to be heavily manipulated to fit a UV unwrap that would feature the least amount of stretching. Additional texture maps such as dirt maps and roughness maps were created in Photoshop and Procreate.

The materials were made in Maxon’s Redshift and rendered in Cinema4D.
