AMT Competition Shirts

I got the chance to design the competition shirts for the teams representing Southwest Airlines at the 2025 MRO Americas a competition aircraft maintenance technicians.
In previous years the mechanics wore their work uniforms. The request was to produce a line of shirts to represent several different groups: judges, two teams from Southwest and one team from Tarrant County Community College. Each team needed unique shirts for two days of the competition.
Because there were many stakeholders and approvers for this project, it was a lengthy design process. Below are some of the explorations for the different shirts. Some of the designs moved quite a bit over the design process, while others were very close to the initial submission.
Below is an example of a design that changed very little through the process. Intially pitched for a different team this design was used for the Tarrent Community College team. It featured Southwest brand design motifs, including brand colors, icons and hearts. This design is featured in the photo at the top.
The teams did great, earning 1st and 2nd place in their categories and it was an honor to be able to support the mechanics representing Southwest at the competition.
